The ILL RABBIT
The Ill Rabbit – Crazy for Linz Has it ever happened before that a fairy-tale figure takes up residence in a Capital of Culture? Why has the Ill Rabbit from the Grotto Railway on Pöstlingberg – the anti-hero from the childhood place of pilgrimage and unofficial landmark of the city – left his camp among the dwarves to “derange” Linz? How much derangement – or derangedness – can the province bear? From March to October 2009, KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd welcomes national and international artists. The Ill Rabbit opens up for them and for the residents of the city a confrontation with the issues of the city and those who live here.
Their projects demonstrate what can happen with a city and its people through fantasies, wishes, desires and disappointments.
